Hadi Arjmandi-Tash et al, Hybrid cold and hot-wall reaction chamber for the rapid synthesis of uniform graphene, Carbon 118, 438-442, 2017
This study introduces an innovative hybrid cold/hot-wall chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method for the rapid synthesis of high-quality, uniform graphene sheets. By combining the advantages of both cold and hot-wall CVD systems, our approach achieves enhanced control over graphene growth, resulting in large-area graphene films with minimal defects and consistent structural properties. Optical micrographs reveal the uniformity of the synthesized graphene, while Raman spectroscopy confirms its high quality across arbitrary sample spots, exhibiting characteristic G and 2D peaks with low D-band intensity. The method offers improved scalability and reduced synthesis time, making it suitable for industrial applications. These graphene sheets demonstrate excellent potential for use in optoelectronics, flexible electronics, and advanced composite materials due to their superior uniformity and quality.
